Servings: 2 people
- 160 g chicken livers
- 1 white onion
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 tsp cumin
Begin by cleaning and trimming the chicken livers. Remove any visible fat or connective tissue. Rinse them under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels.
Add the olive oil into a large pan on low heat. Add the chicken livers and cook for about 5 minutes on each side until they are browned on the outside.
Add the thinly sliced onions and cook, stirring occasionally, until they become soft and golden brown for about 10 minutes.
Season the chicken livers with salt, black pepper, and cumin. Stir to combine the livers with the seasonings. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes to let the flavors meld together.
Once the chicken livers are cooked through and the onions are beautifully caramelized, transfer the mixture to a serving dish. Enjoy!
