Hearty Cabbage

Ingredients

  • 1/2 white cabbage 560 g
  • 3 carrots
  • 1 onion
  • 4 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp red pepper flakes
  • 1 1/2 tbsp sun-dried tomato paste

Instructions

  • Either grate or finely slice the cabbage and the carrots. Dice the onions. Brown the onions in the olive oil in a large saucepan. Leave the pan on low heat with the lid on for 5 minutes. Add the tomato paste and cook for 2 minutes until the paste browns, mixing thoroughly.
  • Add the cabbage and all of the seasonings. Mix until the seasonings spread evenly throughout the food and close the lid on the pan for 30 minutes.
