Garlic butter works for so many recipes like Garlic Mushrooms and Garlic Bread. Here’s how I make my own, rather than using store bought spreads.
The Simple Ingredients:
Fresh oregano and garlic is so important for this recipe. Their flavours are so much stronger. Besides, using fresh herbs over dried ones means you need less of this butter in your recipes in future.
I also recommend adding the olive oil when making this recipe too. It may seem excess, as we already have butter, but the liquidity of the oil is necessary for the electric blender to properly do its job.
How to make the butter?
Blend all of the ingredients in an electric blender. Don’t be scared to throw it in all in one go! I wash the oregano, peel the garlic, scoop out the butter and put in some salt and olive oil and blend.
Make sure to blend until all the ingredients – especially the garlic – is completely crushed and blended through.
You can use it immediately, store it in the fridge or even in the freezer and take out at a time when is most convenient for you. Enjoy!
Easy Garlic & Herb Butter
Ingredients
- 200 g butter
- 5 g oragano fresh
- 6 cloves garlic
- 4 tbsp olive oil
- 1/2 tsp salt
Instructions
- Prepare all ingredients and mix in an electric blender. Blend for a couple of minutes, or until all ingredients are properly crushed. Enjoy!
