Avocado toast is one of the most filling, nutritious and tasty breakfast options I know. Here’s how I always make my avocado toast in the mornings – with no added salt!
The Simple Ingredients:
The ingredients are so simple. This breakfast recipe is a brilliant one as you never need to add any salt! Just some feta, tomato and lemon juice is enough to season the avocado and bring out its flavour.
You can of course add your own toppings and inclusions. Some brilliant ones are egg, chives and chia seeds. They really take the toast to the next level.
My favourite bread to use is a couple of slices of sourdough, although I always use whatever I have, from pita to toast, you can use whatever you like.
How to make the avocado toast?
Crush the feta in a bowl. It’s easiest to do this with a fork, and doesn’t require too much strength. Leave this to the side.
Peel and dice the tomato and avocado finely. This is so important for the toast as you want a nice smooth and spreadable consistency. I always chop as finely as I can.
Add the chopped tomato and avocado into the crushed feta. Squeeze in the lemon juice and mix. Toast your bread to taste. I always make sure I toast until hardened, so the bread’s integrity is solid when I spread the avocado mixture on top. Enjoy!

- 60 g feta cheese
- 1 tomato
- 1 avocado
- 1 tsp lemon juice
Instructions
- Crush the feta cheese in a bowl. Peel and dice the tomato and avocado finely and add into feta. Add the lemon juice and mix together.
- Toast your bread to taste and serve with avocado on top. Enjoy!
