These chicken shish kebabs are a simple recipe that taste irresistibly delicious and flavourful. You can make this gorgeous dish at home with a grill pan or a griddle, or even outside on the BBQ grill! You have to give this one a try!
The Simple Ingredients:
If you’re running out of yoghurt you can instead use milk and it’ll give the kebab a similar flavour. I find that for this amount of chicken roughly 1 cup of milk works really well.
Spice also compliments the chicken kebabs nicely in this recipe so feel free to include some chilli!
How to make the chicken kebabs?
Dice the chicken breast into cubes, no bigger than an inch in size.
In a mixing bowl, combine the chicken breast cubes, greek yoghurt, sun-dried tomato paste, crushed garlic, olive oil, salt, black pepper, paprika and cumin. Mix until combined. It may be easier to mix by hand, to ensure that the ingredients mix properly together.
Cover the mixing bowl and place in the fridge overnight. This is vital for the sauce to taste richer and more potent. The longer the sauce marinates, the better the taste of the kebab.
Once out of the fridge, skew each cube of chicken onto a shish stick. You can add chopped vegetables (like peppers, onions or mushrooms) in between if you wish, just make sure they’re cut at roughly the same size as your chicken cubes.
Cook on a grill pan, griddle or BBQ grill – your choice. Cook for around 5 minutes on each side, or until kofte is fully cooked through and seared. Enjoy!
